Professional Profile
Mr. Durone has particular experience in the areas of securities litigation and arbitration, accountants' liability and unfair competition claims.
Mr. Durone has represented broker-dealers, issuers, underwriters, and industry professionals in civil and regulatory proceedings in numerous state and federal courts across the country, and before the SEC, CFTC, NASD, NYSE, AMEX and numerous state securities commissions. Mr. Durone has also represented “Big 4” accounting firms, and other audit, actuarial and tax professionals in a variety of actions, including insurance receiverships and liquidations, business failure and bankruptcy actions, tax preparer malpractice actions and proceedings before the AICPA. Mr. Durone has also prosecuted and defended Lanham Act and false advertising claims in numerous venues nationwide. Mr. Durone also has experience in other litigation areas, including business torts and non-compete employment claims.
