Professional Profile
Mr. Peterson’s practice involves trial and appellate work generally in the area of commercial litigation, with an emphasis in automotive dealer and franchise litigation. Through his work for automotive manufacturers and distributors throughout the United States, Mr. Peterson has gained extensive administrative experience before state agencies, ranging from licensing issues to administrative hearings and appeal. In addition, he has been lead counsel in state and federal court proceedings throughout the United States. Mr. Peterson has extensive motion experience, having successfully challenged numerous experts in state or federal court under both the Daubert and Frye standards. Mr. Peterson has authored briefs and/or argued appeals before the Eighth and Tenth Circuits, as well as state appellate courts in Missouri and Texas. For example, Mr. Peterson successfully briefed and argued a case before the Eighth Circuit where the Court reversed and vacated a multi-million dollar adverse jury verdict in a Sherman Act §1 antitrust action.
